Investment Philosophy
At the core of our investment philosophy is the conviction that stocks are the best vehicle for enhancing wealth. Those with a long-term view of the investment process, as well as financial and emotional staying power, should, we believe, own substantial positions in select equities. Many, however, prefer a balanced approach using stocks and fixed income investments, often tax-free bonds.
Client Objectives
Creating and maintaining individually managed portfolios in harmony with the specific preferences, risk profiles, and financial needs of our clients is the core of our expertise. We recognize there are important as well as significant differences in client's investment needs and objectives, based on their own particular circumstances. Our goal is to achieve these objectives, and to do so without assuming risk that is inappropriate for client's individual situations.
Asset Allocation
A century of capital market history has conclusively demonstrated that allocation of a portfolio's assets among various asset categories such as cash, bonds, and stocks represents one of the most important influences upon the return of long-term investments. This decision also weighs importantly on the portfolio's volatility, risk of loss due to inflation and level of income generation. As a result, asset allocation decisions are reviewed regularly, both within the firm and with our clients.
